| REd`s claim to fame is simple: The concept of a repository, the fact that it`s always on top, as well as the ability for it to be transparent. The repository is a set of chained folders. If you normally store your text files in a handful of folders, why navigate your entire hard drive trying to find a specific file? With REd, you don`t have to. You just add the folders to the repository chain, give each a descriptive label, and you`re all set. You can include sub-folders if you wish, and show folders based on whatever pattern (*.txt, foo.*, etc.) you desire. REd does offer basic text editing facilities, and has some other nifty features. |
