Powered by the latest stable release of FreeBSD, coupled with the popular KDE desktop manager, and an impressive array of specially developed graphical user tools, DesktopBSD aims at being a stable and powerful operating system for desktop users. The base of any BSD system is the kernel and tools which are engineered to work together flawlessly. FreeBSD is supported by a core group of software engineers who work together to develop and maintain the kernel and the associated tools.
