BuyBlock prevents a user from entering personal information, such as name, address, social security number, login information, etc. on any website. However, to enable users to utilize the Internet for information gathering purposes, it does allow for the use of search and other benign functions. This patent-pending software has the ability to identify fields requesting personal information on any web site in real-time and locks them, thereby preventing the user from entering any information. The types of actions that can be prevented include: Making unapproved purchases; Logging into personal accounts without prior approval; Posting information on any unapproved websites; Signing up for (and logging into) chat-rooms, blog sites, and social networks, where children are highly targeted by Internet predators. Software is activated and deactivated with a customer-created username and password. Go to www.buyblock.com/buy_now.htm to create your username and password. It works with AOL and Internet Explorer browsers.
